I was in a relationship not to long ago. I should have known not to date him because I knew he wasn't good at keeping a relationship. He asked me out and on the first day we hung out we started play fighting until it got serious. He slapped me. The next day he took me to the ymca and took me into this room with no cameras or people. He locked the door and if I didn't do what he said he'd hit me. And I did nothing. I walked out of the room looking like I got into a car accident. He broke up with me that day. It was a 2 day relationship and now if I even see a guy who looks like him I freak out. My parents don't know about it and I'm afraid if I run into a guy who looks like him when I'm with my parents they'll wonder why I ran away crying. Should I tell them?

You should definitely tell them. Family are the best support system you can have. Confide in them and tell them about this. Although it is horrible what you've gone through, remember not every man is the same. I'm sorry that you experienced this. What is your age if you don't mind me asking?
